About Us

Founded in December 2005 by students Nicole L. Hawkins, April Kappler, and Katelin Kennedy; International Appalachian was created with the mission of "providing students of Appalachian with information about our globalizing world, and allow interested students an outlet to embrace other cultures and countries." INTAPP is a department affiliated organization run by students that works to promote study abroad, positive experiences for international students, leadership, and internationalization of Appalachian’s campus. Since INTAPP's inception in 2005, we have created campus-wide events, as well as fostered connections with people and universities from all over the world, and maintained a strong and close relationship with the Office of International Education and Development.
